Meaningful Use for Public
Registry Reporting: Eligible providers
administering immunizations during the reporting period
may register with the California Department of Public
Health – HIE Gateway (http://hie.cdph.ca.gov/)
to submit data for meaningful use.
Surveillance: Los Angeles County Department of
Public Health (LACDPH) is not currently accepting, and
has never accepted, syndromic surveillance data
reporting from eligible providers. If you are an
eligible provider, please take the exclusion for this
measure. Only eligible hospitals that are currently
participating in the LACDPH Syndromic
Surveillance project and are looking to upgrade their
connections to HL-7 2.5.1 should email

Laboratory Reporting (ELR): Eligible hospitals
who wish to participate in ELR to LACDPH for meaningful
use should register with the California Department of
Public Health – HIE Gateway (http://hie.cdph.ca.gov/)
to submit data.
