To reduce the risk factors and disease burdens of preventable communicable diseases
for all persons in Los Angeles County, in partnership with others, through providing
the best possible health promotion, surveillance, investigative, laboratory, and
disease prevention and control services.
Vision
All persons in Los Angeles County free from suffering, disability and death due to
communicable diseases.
