Delta-8 THC

Delta-8 THC has serious health risks

  • Scientists and public health experts are alarmed about the rising use of Delta-8 THC and are concerned about its harmful health consequences, which can include slurred speech, increased heart rate progressing to slowed heart rate, low blood pressure, difficulty breathing, sedation, and coma.
  • Delta 8-THC products have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA for safe use and may be marketed in ways that put the public health at risk and should be especially kept out of reach of children and pets.
  • The FDA has received adverse event reports involving Delta-8 THC - containing products. California has also seen a rise in emergency room visits related to cannabis poisoning among young children.
  • Delta 8-THC products have psychoactive and intoxicating effects and often involve use of potentially harmful chemicals to create the concentrations of Delta-8 THC claimed in the marketplace.

We appreciate your collective efforts to support our communities and reverse this dangerous trend.
