SAPC-UCLA Lecture Series

SAPC-UCLA Lecture Series, Health Care Reform Lectures, and other previous trainings

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Substance Abuse Prevention and Control and the Pacific Southwest Addiction Technology Transfer Center hold a quarterly lecture series on current topics of interest in the substance use disorder treatment and research worlds.  Leading researchers and treatment practitioners provide attendees with state-of-the-art, evidence-based information on substance abuse treatment and prevention.  UCLA Integrated Substance Abuse Programs currently provides continuing education units for counselors, clinicians, nurses, and other professionals in the substance abuse field who attend the lecture.

For information on upcoming lectures/events, please check our event calendar by clicking here

The presentations listed below are provided to you in three forms: MediaSite, PDF, and PowerPoint.

MediaSite files are large and simultaneously feature both the PowerPoint slides and video of the speaker.  Microsoft Silverlight is required to view MediaSite files and is available for free download here.  Because MediaSite files are large, it is recommended that only those with high-speed internet access view them.

PDF files are smaller, so those with dial-up should select the PDF option.

PowerPoint is not required to view the PowerPoint files.  These files are smaller, so those with dial-up should select the PowerPoint option.
