This class is designed to increase the knowledge and assessment skills of CPSP practitioners and help them provide effective perinatal nutrition services. The anthropometric, biochemical, clinical, and dietary components of the CPSP nutrition assessment will be described and practiced. Participants will also learn how to assess a client's weight status, plot weights on a weight gain grid, and complete the Perinatal Food Frequency Questionnaire.

Prerequisites: CPSP Basic Training and CPSP Assessment and Individualized Care Plan Training Intended Audience: Comprehensive Perinatal Health Workers (CPHW) and others who provide direct perinatal patient care.
