About Us

The Division of Organizational Development and Training (ODT) was established to oversee and coordinate trainings to increase the ability of the Los Angeles County Public Health Workforce to fulfill core public health functions to achieve specific competencies and objectives. Training topics are generic and global topics, with department-wide, not discipline-specific or program-specific implications. Appropriate discipline and program leadership define technical areas of expertise. We take a leadership role in setting the framework for a coordinated, integrated training plan and educational activities. We coordinate and collaborate with others to assess and provide targeted training and professional development activities.
