Daily and Cumulative Vaccination Estimates Countywide

Vaccination data are analyzed from the California Immunization Registry (CAIR) for the age group selection of LA County residents. Due to ongoing updates to vaccine recipient addresses, the vaccination estimates for cities/communities can fluctuate. In addition, the number of vaccinations reported in recent days may be incomplete.
Individuals whose addresses are not valid and who could not be mapped to a city or community are not included in the map or the data download.
The charts of "New Vaccinations By" and "Cumulative Vaccinations" include residents without valid addresses.
The chart of "Cumulative Vaccinations" presents the count of persons vaccinated with at least one dose of vaccine if "Received 1+ dose" is selected and the count of persons who have received at least one updated (bivalent) dose if “Received 1+ updated dose” is selected.
Charts display the following: When the button, "Received 1+ dose," is selected, the count of persons vaccinated with at least one dose of vaccine is displayed with the date corresponding to the first administered dose. When the button, “Received 1+ updated dose” is selected, the count of persons with at least one updated (bivalent) dose of vaccine is displayed with the date corresponding to the first administered updated dose.
Vaccination estimates of "≥ 95%" indicate that population vaccination coverage metrics are capped at 95%.
Communities with an indication of 'Unreliable Data' include those with fewer than 5-person population size or fewer than 5 people vaccinated. Unreliable data are not included in the data download file.
Santa Catalina Island's location on the map has been adjusted for web display. San Clemente Island is not displayed.

City/Community Vaccination Coverage by Age Group and Race/Ethnicity

The purpose of these PDF files is to provide communities with vaccination coverage information for subsets of their population (specific race/ethnicity and age groups). These data can be used to tailor vaccination outreach efforts led by community officials or other agencies serving the community. Please review the ReadMe file for more details about the methodology.

Estimated Progress by Race/Ethnicity

These projections likely overestimate the rate of vaccination progress for each group.
When comparing age groups, note that vaccination rates typically slow a few weeks after the group becomes eligible. Consequently, younger groups (more recently eligible), are expected to have significantly lower vaccination rates than shown.

Select an ethnicity to update the chart. If you select an age group, you can also choose to display daily vaccination rates.

Data are presented for LA County residents for whom both age and race/ethnicity data are available from the California Immunization Registry (CAIR).
Dashed lines are linear trends projected into the future, based on the vaccination rate from the last week of daily data. Daily data are presented for accurate inclusion of eligibility dates for each age group.
Cumulative totals are given for the number of people vaccinated divided by the relevant population. For "Received 1+ dose," this refers to people with at least one dose, and for “Received 1+ updated dose,” this refers to people who have received at least one updated (bivalent) dose.

Unlike the 'Vaccinations By Race/Ethnicity' table at the bottom of the page, unreliable ages (i.e. less than 6 months of age) are not included in this table since the exact age group of these individuals is uncertain.
American Indian/Alaska Native (AIAN) values may be overestimated due to the inclusion of some Multi-race individuals. Population data are likely underestimated due to primarily consisting of those who identify as AIAN only.

Data source for population estimates: County of Los Angeles, Internal Services Department, Information Technology Service, Urban Research-GIS Section, Population and Poverty Estimates of Los Angeles County Tract-City Splits by Age, Sex and Race-Ethnicity for July 1, 2019, Los Angeles, CA, April 2020. The estimate of population with age of less than 1 year (by month of age) was based on Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Office of Health Assessment and Epidemiology (OHAE), Linked Birth Files (provisional) for 2018 and 2019.

This section shows school-aged residents 5-18 years of age vaccinated with at least one dose of vaccine according to school district unless otherwise specified.
