LAMB Follow-Up Finding

Use of 2014 LAMB Follow‐Up Data Tables

The following data tables present findings from the 2014 LAMB Follow Up Project. A total of 3,488 mothers responded to the subsequent survey. The data are weighted by the respondents’ selection probability and non‐response rate to represent the original population of mothers in the County of Los Angeles in 2012.

The 2014 LAMB Follow‐Up data tables presented here cover a wide range of topics, and are organized into the following sections: (1) mother’s health/health behaviors, (2) mother’s psychosocial experiences, (3) child’s health, (4) early childhood development, (5) family capacities, (6) receipt of social services and (7) neighborhood characteristics. Each section of the report contains tables displaying estimates by race/ethnicity, Service Planning Area (SPA) and Supervisorial District based on mother’s residence at time of birth, and mother’s age at time of delivery.

In every table, county‐level estimates are provided so that comparisons may be made between subpopulations and the county total. The LAMB Follow Up Project recommends that readers review the Technical Notes, which include the methodology and details of the sampling, data weighting, response rate, and strengths/limitations of the data.
