The Los Angeles County Guide to Free and Low-Cost Health Care Services contains information about many free and low-cost health care services and programs for residents of Los Angeles County. These are health programs to cover the needs of everyone, regardless of age, race, or immigration status. Programs are for pregnant women, children, adults, families, and persons who are blind, disabled, or age 65 and older

CHOI Agency Partners

The Department of Public Health contracts with several trusted local community-based agencies to reach and serve uninsured families in Los Angeles County. This site is a list of these agencies. These agencies have trained personnel who can assist you with applying and obtaining health coverage.

The Children’s Health Initiative of Greater Los Angeles (CHIGLA)

The Children’s Health Initiative (CHI) is a community partnership working to provide uninsured children age 0-18 in Los Angeles County with health insurance. Formally launched on June 22, 2004, the Children’s Health Initiative of Greater Los Angeles is an expansion of health coverage for eligible children who are now without health insurance.
