The mission of the California Nutrition Network for Healthy,
Active Families (Network) is to create innovative partnerships
so that low-income Californians are enabled to adopt healthy
eating and physical activity patterns as part of a healthy lifestyle.
The mission of the California Obesity Prevention Initiative
(COPI) is to reduce the prevalence of obesity and its associated
health risks in Californians through promotion of physical activity
and healthy eating, as well as address the societal, technological,
and environmental influences on obesity.
The California Adolescent Nutrition and Fitness (CANFit) Program
is a statewide, non-profit organization whose mission is to
engage communities and build their capacity to improve the nutrition
and physical activity status of California’s low-income African
American, American Indian, Latino, Asian American and Pacific
Islander youth ages 10-14 years old.
California Food Policy Advocates is a statewide public policy
and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the health
and well being of low-income Californians by increasing their
access to nutritious and affordable food.
California Project Lean provides you with a wealth of resources, evaluations, articles and materials for promoting healthy eating and physical activity.
With nearly 65,000 members, the American Dietetic Association is the nation’s largest organization of food and nutrition professionals. ADA serves the public by promoting optimal nutrition, health and well-being.
