
The Child and Adolescent Health Program and Policy unit will coordinate the work identified
through the Adolescent Health Summit presented to key thought leaders at the October 30, 2012
Adolescent Health Summit conference. The conference will conduct a priority setting exercise
of adolescent health needs and implement a plan for improvement of 2-3 key adolescent health issues.

To improve the overall well being of LA County Adolescents
Objectives
- Conduct a Los Angeles County adolescent health needs assessment to identify prioritized health needs
- Implement at least 1-3 interventions to improve LA County adolescent health
- Create and lead work groups to implement identified adolescent health interventions

Upcoming Events
The 2012 MCAH Adolescent Health Summit will share information with our partners on our adolescent health needs assessment findings
and obtain their feedback on our needs assessment process. Specifically, the Summit will be used to discuss the key prioritized
health issues, involving the formation of work-groups of Summit participants that will focus on a specific adolescent health issues
and determine MCAH's next steps regarding future DPH projects/partnerships for Los Angeles County's adolescent population.
The Summit is scheduled for Tuesday October 30th, 2012 at the MLK Center for Public Health from 8:30 to 12:00.
