Adolescent Health

The Child and Adolescent Health Program and Policy (CAHPP) unit of the Maternal Child and Adolescent Health Programs provides leadership and guidance to youth-serving organizations and works in collaboration with local, regional, statewide and national organizations to achieve health equity for adolescents & young adults in Los Angeles County.  CAHPP supports the Department of Public Health’s mission to protect health, prevent disease and injury, and promote the health and well-being for all persons in Los Angeles County by working with other DPH and County programs and community based organizations to address various issues of importance to adolescent wellbeing, including: youth homelessness, sexual health, youth justice, boys and young men of color, violence against girls and young women, and the health of youth in foster care.  Key CAHPP partnerships and associated websites are provided below:
