Mandatory Disease Reporting Guidelines
This page lists all human diseases and conditions that must be reported to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. These include communicable diseases, outbreaks of any disease, unusual disease occurrences, silicosis, and disorders involving lapses of consciousness. Also listed are conditions reportable to other agencies - pesticide‑related illnesses, Parkinson’s Disease, other neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and benign or borderline CNS tumors.

If the patient resides in Long Beach, Pasadena, or any jurisdiction outside Los Angeles County, reports must be submitted to the appropriate local health department.
