Red Monkey Foods, Inc. out of an abundance of caution is voluntarily recalling select organic parsley as part of a recall initiated by High Quality Organics (HQO). HQO has issued a recall for a lot of parsley because a sample was tested by one of HQO’s customers and was found to be potentially contaminated with Salmonella. A portion of the lot recalled by HQO was supplied to Red Monkey Foods, Inc and subsequently repacked into consumer containers for parsley and was also used to manufacture herbes de provence which was then sold in consumer containers. To date, there have been no consumer complaints or reported cases of Salmonellosis in connection with these products.

Norovirus is a highly contagious virus. Typical symptoms of norovirus infection are acute onset of vomiting, watery, non-bloody diarrhea with abdominal cramps, and nausea. Systemic manifestations include, fever, myalgia and malaise, anorexia, and headache. WASHINGTON, Jan. 29, 2020 – Astrochef LLC., a Rockwall, Texas establishment, is recalling approximately 7,363 pounds of pepperoni stuffed pizza sandwich products because the product is mislabeled and contains undeclared soy, a known allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. Suquamish Seafood recalls all shellfish harvested from 12/19/2019 to 1/8/2020 from the implicated portion of the Port Orchard Passage growing area, from the Agate Pass Bridge south to a line from Point Bolin east to Bainbridge Island. The recall also includes all shellfish harvested from any growing area and wet stored by Suquamish Seafood from 12/19/2019 through 1/9/2020. Illnesses are associated with the shellfish and an investigation is underway.
